Ronda – Day 2.
This is our final day in Ronda and we were up early for morning walkie-run down to the valley for a few more pictures, then off to board the two hour afternoon bus ride to Malaga as our final destination in Spain.
The bus passed through Ardales on the A357 highway towards Malaga that we biked just a few days ago. Now seeing it from the comfort of an air conditioned bus and the windiness of the road with little to no shoulder at all to bike on, we’re no longer interested in being on any more highways like this in the future, and count ourselves lucky for not getting into any trouble.
The traffic is incredibly respectful of bicyclists but there’s always a chance for an accident with someone just making a slight error so we don’t need to push our luck.
We spent nearly two hours biking this road and 90% of it was downhill for @27 Km but now we can say “did that, got the T-shirt” and don’t need to do anything like that again. There just wasn’t any option that the Google map was suggesting other than some random Camino trail over a mountain and through a goat pasture for a full day.
