Day 21

Monday June 5th 2023.

Malaga -final day in Spain.

As we approached our last Air BnB in Malaga, we found this unique way of using old Flamenco dresses as an art form. This person had a dozen or more dresses fastened to the balconies and metal work on their apartment and it was a great induction as to where our new casa was when we returned for the night.

Yet another bluebird day along the Mediterranean with bbqs and fish being roasted with olive wood right on the beach.

Walking the marina during the week made a huge difference with the crowds and boat traffic. The massive yachts had left and the crowds seem to have left as well.

This was our last chance to tick off the bucket list which meant renting electric scooters and driving the length of the malacon. Roger went through two scooters that had battery problems but he soldiered on.

A few more parks, flower gardens, fancy houses, and finally the cigar shop that was put off until the very last day. Bucket list checked!

Our last lunch on the Mediterranean followed by a stroll in the water to our last beach bar for a wobbly pop and that’s a wrap for one month in Spain.

Adios Malaga Y encantada de conocerte Espana.

Tomorrow morning we take at cab at 5:45 am to the airport which is 29 minutes away and hop on the 8:10 am flight to Zurich Switzerland. We have a two hour wait over followed by a direct flight to Vancouver on an A340 for about 9 hours. The last leg up to Whitehorse is on the AirNorth 737 with a warm chocolate chip cookie 🍪. I wounded if the milk chocolate comes from Switzerland?
